Mining, Minerals and Metals

Mining and Mineral Processing industries are the birthplace of the modern diaphragm valve. Most liquid streams are contaminated with some solids content, therefore making the diaphragm valve the perfect choice. Further, various corrosive chemicals are routinely used in mining which are the ideal application for Diaphragm Valves.

Applications:

  • Clarifiers and Thickeners
    • Clarifier inlet, overflow outlet, flocculent, sludge piping, chemical feed piping and underflow
  • Flotation Cells
    • Feed lines, wash water, collector reagent addition lines.
  • Leaching – Chemical dosing valves
  • Tailings
  • Process Water
    • Drains and Samplings
    • Demineralizers
  • Chemical Feed
    • Electrowinning
    • Harsh chemicals

Diaphragm valves are the ideal solution for applications in conveying corrosive, abrasive media, or media containing solids in suspension or in High-purity applications. Depending on the media, various body, body lining and diaphragm material options are available for chemical compatibility. The moving parts of a diaphragm valve are isolated from the media being conveyed resulting in durability and isolation. Further, diaphragm valves can be maintained in-line making them easy to maintain.
